Railway Grapples for Crane

The reliability of the revolutionary HPXdrive in combination with robust, dedicated rail tines. Thanks to the drive system, the movement and closing force of the shells is constant and synchronized, generated by two hollow shafts, which run opposed and have a helix thread, hydraulically driven by a single piston.

The main feature of the HPXdrive Standard used for the rail grapple: There a no hydraulic cylinders required anymore!

A longer life cycle of up to 50% and the integrated self-lubrication as the drive unit runs in a permanent oil bath are also featured by the drive, as well as the compact design, making the HPXdrive resistant to dirt and debris.

Versatility is granted by different types of available shells that can easily be refitted onto the unit.

The perfect alternative to cylinder-operated grapples that do not only save time and cost, but also facilitate every task. 
The dedicated tines of the bucket are ideal for for loading and unloading rails, but also single sleepers. 

The dedicated KINSHOFER railway grapples for loader cranes handle rails and sleepers – single or bundled – or are also used to clear brushes. A long service life is provided by the sturdy construction and the use of high quality components. The wearout is reduced due to a generously dimensioned bearing system. The tine tips are vertical when the grapple is open and thus allow an easy loading and unloading of bundled ties directly from gondola cars.
A special holding valve provides a safe grip – even at pressure drops. 

The railway grapples are available with vertical or horizontal cylinders.

KM 632R

KM 632HPX Rail available with load capacity 2000 kg / 4400 lbs as complete ready-to-fit package: rail grapple, HPXdrive Standard, flange rotator, upper suspension and non-return valve. 
The HPX-package is also available with shaft rotator and reduction link or quick change system.

KM 632-2-R with horizontal cylinder available with load capacity 3000 kg / 6600 lbs as complete ready-to-fit package: rail grapple, robust flange rotator, short connection hoses, upper suspension and non-return valve. 

KM 632R with vertical cylinder available with volumes 350, 500 or 750 litres / 0.46, 0.65 or 0.98 c.y. as complete ready-to-fit package: rail grapple, robust flange rotator, short connection hoses, upper suspension and non-return valve.
