Q: What is special about the NOX Tiltrotator?

The tilting movement of the NOX tiltrotator is not generated via one or two hydraulic cylinders as it is conventionally. An elliptical piston generates a high and constant tilt torque using single gearing. The strong and robust worm drive has its own lubrication and is therefore very low-maintenance.The lack of cylinders makes the NOX tiltrotator not only robust, but also slim and compact, as there are no protruding components that can either get in the way or be easily damaged.

NOX DESIGN

NOX Upper Bracket:

The Tiltrotator can be mounted directly on the excavator arm (direct mount) or as sandwich-design by attaching it to the excavator arm with a quick coupler. Preferably the quick coupler on the excavator arm is the same as the lower quick coupler on the NOX Tiltrotator, however, this is not absolutely necessary.

With using the NOX Tiltrotator, you are not only reducing the need for repositioning your excavator and thus sparing the ground from damage (especially when it comes to landscaping tasks), but you will also speed up your work.

The attachments can be positioned within the complete reach of the boom to work around obstacles. Fast and easy levelling works with a levelling bar can be realized without repositioning the excavator.

What is a Tiltrotator?

A tiltrotator is a rotating and tilting unit that is either permanently bolted or attached to an excavator using a quick-change device. The tiltrotator itself is equipped with a quick coupler at the bottom and various attachments such as buckets and grippers can be attached, which thereby provides greater mobility and possible uses.

A previously rigid bucket can be rotated up to 360° and tilted up to 50° to both sides. This makes it easier to move the attachment into a designated position without having to move the carrier device.
